"Crown Panto 8mm" model, from the UPCYCLING Collection, manufactured and assembled in the Lesca workshop using vintage acetate materials. 

Upcycling, also known as creative reuse, is the process of transforming by-products, waste materials, useless, or unwanted products into new materials or products perceived to be of greater quality, such as artistic value or environmental value.
LESCA, a family owned company manufacturing French eyewear since 1964, decided to step up its efforts with regard to ecology.
The brand now buys stocks of old acetate materials in order to make collages and patchworks in original colours, according to the rules of craftsmanship by skilled workers.
Also used as a way to promote the work of its historical partners based in Oyonnax (Jura): besides the environmental benefits of reuse, upcycling makes it possible to create and recreate unique objects with high added value for the Lesca Loyal customers.
