Gouverneur Audigier was established in 1878 by Clément Gouverneur in Morez, in the heart of Jura valley, the cradle of French eyewear.For more than 150 years, a team of truly expertise craftsmen are producing inimitable frames respecting the manufacturing traditions and sharing the same passion of the founder.The Gouverneur Audigier manufacture gained the state labe EPV (Living Heritage Company), which distinguishes French companies with craftsmanship and industrial excellence.In 2014, Mr. Philippe Girod acquired the company, carrying the same motivation as its founders. He revamped the collections, adding a fresh touch of avant-garde to authentic design to create modern classic styles, positioning the company as a leading luxury and precision eyewear brand.

In 1964, Joël LESCA created his first collection in a small workshop in the Secrétan quarter, in the 19th district of Paris.His sons, Mathieu and Bertrand, grew up in the assembly workshops surrounded by glasses.

Actually it was the love for their clients that made Wim Somers and Patrick Hoet, opticians with their own store, decide to design and present a collection under the name of Theo.
