The RIGARDS × TVA The Viridi-anne RG 2004 is an optical frame with a dedicated sun clip-on, reinterpreting the classic square silhouette through the distinctive material language of the RIGARDS × Viridi-anne collaboration.
Handcrafted from titanium and aluminium, the frame combines an exceptionally lightweight construction with treated surfaces and subtle variations created by the artisanal process. The clips feature a twisted chi, the area where the rim meets the temple, adding a sculptural detail to the otherwise clean, architectural structure.
Throughout the frame, carefully considered detailing draws inspiration from karesansui, the traditional Japanese dry landscape garden, translating its sense of balance, rhythm and restrained beauty into the language of eyewear.
Sharp proportions meet small irregularities and nuanced finishes, creating an intriguing dialogue between precision and imperfection, craftsmanship and avant-garde design.
The matching sun clip-on completes the concept, adding versatility while introducing colour transitions that interact beautifully with the metallic tones of the frame.
