An archival design by Gouverneur Audigier, inspired by the unmistakable aesthetic of French eyewear from the 1950s and 1960s.
Its name pays homage to the Nouvelle Vague, the revolutionary film movement that rejected the conventions of traditional cinema in favour of something more intimate, spontaneous and real. Jean-Luc Godard, François Truffaut, Claude Chabrol, Éric Rohmer and Jacques Rivette were among the young filmmakers who transformed the language of cinema, portraying disenchanted and rebellious characters, everyday life and a new existential spirit.

This frame recalls a part of that history through its proportions and soft, distinctly French lines, a small piece of Nouvelle Vague aesthetics, seen through eyewear.
