Co-branding Project Titanos x FACTORY 900.
Factory 900 and Maruman Optica joined together for a collaborative collection.
The Japanese Maruman Optical was the first in the world to produce and launch in 1982 a collection of all-pure titanium frames. At that time, the main stream was the alloy glasses, and this debut with pure titanium frames "shocked" the eyewear industry for their lightness and manufacturing.
Factory 900, specialized in acetate glasses featuring three-dimensional silhouette just utilizing the volume of acetate material itself, joined with Maruman Optical for the release of the "Titanos", pure titanium frames, artistically and masterfully handcrafted, that put together the concept of lightweight of a pure material, and the three-dimensionality of the Factory 900 acetate frames.
The result is an exceptionally sophisticated, multifaceted rounded frame, with an extremely light and soft aesthetic.
When seen from above, it becomes apparent that the top bar operates independently from the frame, imparting a sculptural sense of motion to the glass.
